Psycho-Educational Evaluations

Kaizen Educational Group offers a comprehensive range of services to support the academic and personal success of children and adolescents. Our team of experienced professionals provides in-depth psycho-educational evaluations to identify learning strengths and challenges, as well as occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, and private counseling to address specific needs. We also offer tutoring services tailored to individual learning styles and goals. Kaizen Educational Group works with school districts and families to complete Independent Educational Evaluations (IEE). Additionally, we provide advocacy support to assist parents in navigating the complexities of the educational system, ensuring their child receives the appropriate resources and support. Our integrated approach fosters collaboration among our specialists, parents, and educators, creating a holistic support system for each individual we serve.

Speech & Language Therapy

Our experienced speech-language pathologists (SLP) provide comprehensive services to address a wide range of communication disorders in children and adolescents. They assess and treat speech sound disorders (articulation and phonological processes), language disorders (receptive and expressive language), fluency disorders (stuttering), social communication difficulties, and pragmatic language challenges. An SLP also plays a crucial role in the assessment, selection, and implementation of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and assistive technology (AT) for individuals who have difficulty with speech or communication. Through evidence-based therapies and individualized treatment plans, our SLPs help children develop effective communication skills, and improve their ability to understand and express themselves more effectively. 

Independent Educational Evaluations

At Kaizen Educational Group, we understand that you may want an independent perspective on your child's educational needs. By contracting with local school districts, we offer Independent Educational Evaluations (IEE) conducted by our qualified and experienced professionals. An IEE is a comprehensive assessment of your child's learning strengths and challenges, completed by an evaluator who is not employed by the school district. This provides an objective and unbiased evaluation to help you make informed decisions about your child's education.

Our Independent Educational Evaluations include a comprehensive written report that includes a thorough review of records, interviews, observations, and standardized assessments to provide a detailed understanding of your child's needs. 

Occupational Therapy

Our Occupational Therapists (OT) at Kaizen Educational Group help children and adolescents develop the skills they need to participate fully in their daily activities. We address a wide range of challenges that may impact a child's ability to learn, play, and engage in self-care tasks. Our OT services include comprehensive assessments and individualized interventions to improve fine motor skills (handwriting, cutting, manipulating objects), visual-motor coordination (eye-hand coordination, visual perception), sensory processing (responding appropriately to sensory input), self-care skills (dressing, grooming, feeding), and executive functioning (planning, organization, attention). Our Occupational Therapists work closely with families and educators to create strategies that promote independence, enhance participation, and foster overall well-being.

Individual Counseling

Our licensed therapists provide individual counseling services for children and adolescents in need of emotional, behavioral, and social support. We offer a safe and supportive space for individuals to explore their thoughts and feelings, develop coping strategies, and build resilience. Our therapists use evidence-based approaches tailored to each individual's needs. We address symptoms related to anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, ADHD, social skills deficits, anger management, and self-esteem. 

Advocacy Support & Services

Navigating the educational system can be complex and overwhelming, especially when advocating for a child with unique learning needs. Kaizen Educational Group offers comprehensive advocacy services to empower families and ensure children receive the support they deserve. Our experienced advocates provide guidance and assistance in a variety of ways, including reviewing educational records, helping families understand their rights under state and federal laws (such as IDEA and Section 504), and supporting families in their interactions with school districts. We can participate in meetings, assist with the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans, and offer consultation to help families make informed decisions about their child's education. Our goal is to bridge the gap between families and schools, ensuring that every child has access to a free and appropriate public education (FAPE).
